Large Structures

Large Structure Demolition in Austin, Cedar Park, Round Rock, & Surrounding Areas

Austin Cleanup & Container provides complete “house-to-dirt” large structure demolition services. With good weather and good access, we can complete most of these jobs in under a week. It generally takes us about three to four days to take down and haul away the structure, then another couple of days to break up and haul away the foundation. As always, we’ll keep the job site clean and safe for the length of the project.

Like our small structures, we prefer to take large structures down piece by piece instead of knocking it down completely. Not only does this approach create less damage; it also helps us to preserve elements of the structure you’d like to hold onto, like windows and doors. We also do our best to recycle and recover as much material as possible. Our crew will repurpose or recycle metal and wiring, then set aside brick, rock, and concrete to donate. We’ll donate or recycle your old appliances as well.

We take care of every element of the demolition, even ones you might not have thought about. In order to keep the process as stress-free as possible, we’ll manage the permit process, cap and shut off any utilities, and protect nearby trees. After we give the site our thorough post-demolition clean, we’ll fill and smooth the surface, and set up silt fencing.

You can always count on us to get the job done on time and on budget. Although the scope of large demolition projects can vary, we’ll be as upfront as possible with you about the timeline and the costs. Honesty is the best policy.

Ready to Get Started?

Our process is pretty simple, and it all starts with a phone call. We’ll talk with you about how we can help you and offer a ballpark estimate, when possible for the project. If that sounds good to you, we’ll schedule a site visit.

During the site visit, our manager will walk through the site with you, taking measurements and photographs that will help us create an estimate. We’ll also discuss the project with you. Our formal bid will be issued within 24 hours. If there are any outstanding issues that require clarification, such as an engineering assessment, we’ll help you to resolve it. You’ll want to set aside about a month to go through the permit process, especially if you live in Austin. We’re happy to assist with any questions you may have.

After you accept the bid, we’ll create a schedule, including the projected start and end dates. From there, we’ll send you our insurance forms and W9s, determine the access we’ll need, discuss working hour restrictions, prepare the site, shut off and cap your utilities, clean up any unwanted furnishings, and identify the things you’ll want to recover before getting started with the demolition. With larger structures, we’ll also need to identify any irrigation lines and septic systems the structure may have.

During the demolition process, we’ll keep you updated throughout every stage of the process. First, we’ll stage the container onsite, as well as any equipment and supplies we’ll need. The structure will be brought down in pieces. The site will be kept free of debris throughout, with loose material bagged and hauled away. Once we’re done, we’ll give the site a thorough clean.

You’ll get to sign off on the project, as well as accompany us on the final walkthrough.
